Name to incorporate in the logo
Life’s better without doors
Description of the organization and its target audience
We have a slogan directed towards Jeep enthusiasts and are trying to capitalize on their potential interest in displaying our slogan which might potentially focus on decals but might also include t-shirts, hats, tire covers, coffee mugs. The business may ultimately expand to featuring products that are needed when enjoying Jeep Life with the doors removed from the vehicle.
We seem to be drawn towards minimalist designs where the sketch almost seems to have been drawn in a hurried manner and lacks much detail, where asymmetry may be prominent (see image sample) and the Jeep may look like it’s been a little banged up. We like the use of a transfer case in the design to indicate power and 4 wheel drive. We think that it might be best to display a profile or 3/4 view of the Jeep so that it is evident that it has the doors removed, but not necessary.
We think that we might prefer a font that appears to have been scribbled using up and down motion/lines from a pencil tip.
We’re open to any designs that may not fit the above but communicate what Jeeps say . . .. .freedom, ruggedness, enjoying nature, connectedness to others, lack of pretension or status, and an element of risk.
Jeeps communicate so many things ….. freedom, ruggedness, enjoying nature, connectedness to others, lack of pretension of status, and an element of risk.
FREEDOM Freedom from being boxed in…you can always go around or over to get through a situation that might stop another vehicle (e.g. downed tree). Freedom from being closed in ….out in the open air…vehicle wise, considerably more open than a simple convertible.
RUGGEDNESS – macho, power, ability to endure, ability to continue despite being beaten up from off roading, ability to handle adverse weather situations (snow, rain, flooding, mud, no roads, dirt roads)
ENJOYMENT Enjoy nature – the seashore, the night sky, the weather, the lake or river bank
CONNECTION more connected to things and people around you, more available/less hindrance to relate to others when the doors are off
RISK people sometimes think that I’m crazy to ride around without any doors. Aren’t you worried about getting in an accident? Other times they see the fun in it. Either way, we are at least opening up ourselves to the elements including getting wet from a sudden rain shower.
There is a saying “Jeep Hair, Don’t Care”. As a Jeeper, when you’re riding in an open Jeep, you’re saying, “Here I am, open for everyone to see, not hiding behind some curtain. The wind is going to mess up my hair, and probably my clothes. I might get wet. I am utilitarian. I am rough, I’m primitive, but I am unstoppable. If you are stuck, not only am I able to pull you out of situations that others cannot, but I am eager to do so. And when I’m finished pulling you out of that situation, I expect nothing in return. Instead, as I’m leaving, I’ll leave you with by a smile and a wave out of that missing door.
The concepts of logo
The company is looking for a rugged, strong, protective, feminine (but not cute) logo. Artemis is the goddess of the hunt. She is represented by:
• FREEDOM depicting the free -flying – jumping
• RUGGEDNESS – macho, power,off roading
• CONNECTION depicted wirh circle emblem the encircle forming the solid group
• ENJOYMENT Enjoy nature of earthy style
• COLOR red and gray (bravery and earthy)
A logo that emulates the strength and protection of our cyber security company, balanced with the female Artemis is the best aprroaching concept for this company identity
